Evan Lysacek in Champions on Ice

In 2006, for the first time, Evan Lysacek skated with the Champions on Ice figure skating show, which tours the U.S. from April - June each year. When asked to do the tour, he said, "the Champions on Ice tour is... like the greatest thing that has happened."

During the 2006 tour, Evan skated to a medley of songs from Johnny Cash, Chris Brown and Elvis Presley. He found his first season of Champions on Ice skating to be enjoyable not only because of all the opportunities to skate for thousands of fans throughout the U.S., but also because of the friendship bonds he deepened with the other skaters, who became a second family to him.

"Champions on Ice is fun for us," he said during the tour. "It was a lot of work learning the new programs. But now that we're a couple of weeks into it, its just fun."
