About Alissa Czisny
Alissa Czisny, residing in Bowling Green Ohio, and skating for
the Ice Skating Club of Detroit, surprised the world in 2005 by entering
the senior ranks and almost immediately winning the gold medal at Skate Canada and the
silver medal at Skate America. A successful competitor in the Junior figure skating ranks, she
had previously won two silver medals in the Junior Grand Prix championships.
Although a newcomer to the senior ranks, Alissa Czisny is already a mature figure skater, skating
with
elegance and precision and executing near-perfect spins.
Alissa's coaches are Julianne Berlin and Theresa McKendry; her
choreographers, David Wilson, Kurt Browning, and Theresa McKendry. Her recent competition and show programs in 2005-07 include "Prelude" and "Quadukka-I-Mayas", "Sabrina" and "La Bayadere" by Minkus.
Alissa was born June 25, 1987, and has a twin Amber who is also a competitive figure skater.
